The AUSTRIP will be constructed at Anna University’s Guindy campus, with an allocated budget of ₹50 crore and a planned built-up area of 1.2 lakh sqft.
The university has entered into Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) and Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University, facilitating interdisciplinary studies for students, such as bio-medical engineering students spending a semester in a medical college.
Anna University is in the process of developing a curriculum for interdisciplinary courses to be implemented in the next academic year. Additionally, the institution is planning twinning programs in collaboration with universities in the UK and Japan and intends to hire faculty members with expertise in multidisciplinary areas for its research centers.
